Our passion as a church family is to work together to share God’s love and to spread the Good News of Jesus’ love and forgiveness, offered to all of us in our communities. We do this by our lives and our words. We provide activities for the community: Babies and Toddlers, Youth Club, Afternoon Tea, visiting Thornton Care Home and Knit and Natter.
As we work, we also tell our stories of the difference that counting God in/looking to Jesus has made in our lives. We know that we are far from perfect but we are on a journey wanting to serve God and love our neighbours. Each year we set ourselves specific goals.
In 2016, we aim to:
- Continue to build our work with families, children and young people
- Reach out to the whole community, including both the bereaved and families moving in to our villages
- Improve and expand our methods of communication to reach all age groups.
In addition, members of our congregation members of our congregation support a number of good causes both locally, in the wider UK and further afield in the world. Here are just some of the organisations and projects we are involved with:
- Children’s Society
- Christian Aid
- CATH (Chester Aid to the Homeless)
- Ellesmere Port Foodbank
- The Royal British Legion
- The Mothers Union
