Armistice centenary marked as World War I memorial is dedicated in Elton

Our Vicar, Revd Ruth Ackroyd, was pleased to lead a short service to dedicate a new memorial in the village of Elton to all those who gave their lives in the Great War, 1914 to 1918.

Centenary of the Armistice marked in Elton with the dedication of a new memorial stone

Our Vicar, the Revd Ruth Ackroyd, was delighted to lead a short service and blessing for the new WWI centenary memorial plaque which has been unveiled in Elton. The stone sits outside the doctor's surgery and the Community Centre.

A big thank you is due to all those involved with the realisation of this important project, led by Elton Parish Council and with support from village residents, Encirc, Helsby and Elton Medical Centre and Elton Primary School.

Please do stop by and take a moment to reflect when you are next in Elton.
