Saying farewell to Gill and Tina on Sunday 27th May 2018

On Trinity Sunday, 27th May, we joined together to say farewell and every good wish to Gill Reeve and Tina Dixon as they prepare for their ordinations.

Goodbye and God bless to Gill and Tina as they embark on the next stage of their ministry!

We said ‘goodbye’ and God bless to Gill Reeve and Tina Dixon who have been spending part of their training as ordinands with us over the last year or so. As they both now enter the final weeks before their ordination, at a service full of joy and thanksgiving, we sent them off on the next stage of their ministry with our prayers and love! Thank you to them both for their wonderful contribution to the life of our church here.

Gill will be ordained in the Liverpool Diocese and will be a curate at Christ Church in Norris Green. Her ordination service is on Sunday 24th June 2018. All are welcome and because of the size of the cathedral you do not need a ticket.

Tina will be ordained at Chester Cathedral on Sunday 22nd July at 10am. Space in the cathedral will be limited, so please do let us know if you would like to attend in order that we can secure a ticket for you.

A special prayer for those being ordained:

God our Father, Lord of all the world,

through your Son you have called us into the fellowship

of your universal Church:

hear our prayer for your faithful people

that in their vocation and ministry

each may be an instrument of your love,

and give to your servants now to be ordained

the needful gifts of grace;

through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever. AMEN.
