'Toilet Twinning' project - success!

Thank you to those who supported our recent 'Toilet Twinning' project which links our new toilets at the Church Hall, Elton with new ones in Malawi, Africa. Click on the links to find out more.

In recent months we have partnered with the charity Toilet Twinning to twin our new toilets at the Church Hall, Elton with new ones in Malawi in Africa. We've received these photographs of the toilets we have been able to link with (three of the six are shown). Toilet Twinning is a water and sanitation initiative with the aim of "Flushing away poverty, one toilet at a time." If you look carefully on the images you can see the precise location of our twinned toilets and the villages they serve.

We have received the news and a letter of thanks from the West Cheshire Foodbank that a total of 91.5kgs of food was donated from our Parish this year.

Remembrance Sunday 2018: Centenary of the Armistice marked in our villages

Acts of Remembrance have taken place in each of the villages in our Parish of Thornton-le-Moors with Ince and Elton on this most significant Remembrance Sunday, the centenary of the signing of the Armistice in 1918.
